Tea Ceremony at Mama (White Lotus)
An evening of tea, meditation and restorative movement in Iceland
Cha Dao - the way of tea meditation practice is a tool for self discovery, a playground to listen, witness, to embrace, to build capacity to be with all that is. Tea offered in ceremony creates the spaciousness for the sensations to be felt, embraced… and very important - effortlessly integrated into life.
Tea invites to cultivate pure presence.
Why meditate with tea? On a physical level when drinking high quality traditionally produced ceremonial teas it’s common to feel centered, alert, purified, vibrant without being overstimulated. Our selected tea is melting hearts and is a rare, wild, high-quality ceremonial tea.
We will begin with an introduction to the tea meditation, then sit together drinking several bowls of tea in silence served by Anita. As we empty out last cups of tea we will have a discussion and share our experiences. On a second layer, we will dive into a short Qigong movement practice in which we are going to purify and nourish our temple - our physical body with gentle restorative movements guided by Inga.
By the end of this ceremony, you will feel warm, grounded, and deeply connected to the natural flow of life.
